"Make Mine Freedom" [Jan. 26th, 2008|08:18 pm]
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mVh75ylAUXY

A great old cartoon about capitolism and why it should stay that way. Even sixty years later the message isn't old, capitolism is what made this country great.

Remember that when the socialists and liberals try to impress their marxist views in our legislation. Marxism has never worked, and it never will. Another idea that sounds great on paper but the natural laws of society such as "supply and demand" counter.

God Bless America.

In other news I'm almost finished with school, 3 more weeks and I'll be back in the working world with experience and motivation. Today and tomorrow I'll be checkering my stock for my new hunting rifle(AKA project #1). Updates on my projects soon to follow. Let's just hope I have enough time to finish everything else I have on my plate. Gonna be a crazy three weeks fo' sho.

Gun Control Kills [Oct. 6th, 2007|07:32 pm]
I've tried to keep this site from becoming a "blog" but in light of all the gun hating out there, I feel the need to speak up.

That's right folks, gun control kills innocent people.

I'm not going to repeat the tired old cliche of "If guns are outlawed, only outlaws will have guns."

It's true, but a lot of people dismiss it as they've heard it so many times. But allow me to argue. Say for instance, someone invented a machine to completely destroy all firearms across the globe, no guns, no ammunition, nothing.

The very next day people would still be murdered by sharp instruments, like knives, swords, shivs, etc.

I've heard arguments such as there wouldn't be as many murders without guns. Sure, guns make it a little easier to kill people, but it would not make a difference. There is the story of 2 children being murdered with a PITCHFORK, seen here: http://www.gunowners.org/op0132.htm Let us not forget the vicious serial killings of Jack the Ripper, and the countlees others that have been murdered without firearms. People will still die.

Don't forget about explosive devices either, making a bomb is INFINATELY easier than getting a gun. I won't go into details, as some may label me as "giving people knowledge about bomb making" but there are many substances out there that explode when lit, especially when contained in a small space. Your car's engine combusts several times each revolution, which is a fancy word for controlling an explosion. Terrorists like this method because it is so simple to create. People will still die.

They focus the beam on these sharp instruments and explosive materials, deleteing them all.

The day after that, people are being stoned to death by rocks, and being pushed off cliffs or other high places. People will still die.

You CAN'T stop the violence, without obliterating the entire world. Even animals would continue to kill each other to survive.

Even if Guns were destroyed, they are simple to make and can be reproduced in hours by anyone with knowledge of them. One mechanically inclined person could make a zip-gun in a day.

People have been killing other people since Cain and Abel(the first recorded murder) and it will continue to be so until we cease to exist as mortals.

Guns are not the problem, Criminals are the problem. The vast majority of murders are caused by people with a history of violence and crime. The reason the crime rates increase is because WE, the people, fail to execute them. If you rape or murder someone, you should be hung by the neck until dead. Instead they are placed back on the streets after thier "time" in prison, where only a short time later fall back into their violent behavior.

Banning guns? What good is it if you can't enforce the law? How many of you right now can find a drug dealer and score some marijuana, cocaine, or other drug? Now ask yourself how much harder would it be to sell guns like drugs? Not very hard at all. Remember the prohibition era of the 1920's? People STILL found a way to get alchohol easily, much to the displeasure of the government and the "do-gooders." The Mafia got stronger then, imagine how much stronger they could get by selling drugs and guns(not to mention cigarettes, which are being banned in public as we speak)?

Even in countries where firearms are completely outlawed, the murder rate continues to increase.

There is significant evidence to show that automobiles kill thousands more people every day than guns, perhaps we should ban cars? But then, how would we get to work? The same with guns, if you ban them, how will we defend ourselves from attackers?

Firearms are tools, not much different than shovels, hammers, and screwdrivers. ALL of these can kill people EASILY, it depends on the wielder to decide what they can do. Guns cannot and will not jump off of a table and shoot you in the face, it requires a human hand to pull the trigger.

Those who say that only police should have guns have never met a corrupt policeman. Do you really want an individual who truely believes he or she is above the law protecting your safety? Law Enforcement Officers are not known for their accuracy(those that ARE, are employed as snipers in SWAT teams), and evidence shows more people are accidently killed by policemen than law-abiding citizens.

And that term Law-abiding. Law-abiding refers to those who believe in the law, and follow it to the fullest extent, rarely crossing the line. Criminals do not care about the law, thus being known as out-laws. They don't care about bans, they don't care about murder, they only care about themselves and how they can make a quick dollar even if it means beating the crap out of an old lady for a $5 bill in her purse.

So how do we fix this age old problem of murder? DETERENCE.

Arm yourselves! A criminal will think twice if they KNOW you have a firearm and the will to use it to defend yourself. But just don't buy a gun if you don't know how to use it properly, that would be foolish. Learn how to use firearms by taking a course designed for self-defense, the NRA has a lot of folks who would LOVE to teach you!

Bring back Capitol Punishment! Who wants to die? One would have to be mentally insane or over-confident to commit a heinous act if they know they would be killed by the state. It is possible that the residents of said state would not wish to have "blood on their hands" but what is more dangerous: A loose criminal or a dead criminal? Obviously a dead criminal can cause no more crime himself, so logically Capitol Punishment is the right choice. Would you be happy to know that the mass murdering criminal the prison system let loose yesterday is now in your home, raping your offspring, or murdering them?

Personally, I will not be a victim of violent crime. I will be a survivor, anyone who attacks me will have their lifespan severely shortened. I carry a .45 on my hip EVERYDAY(except when I enter a Victim Disarmament Zone such as banks, schools or government property), and sleep with a 12 gauge by my side! Do I wish for a world where I would not need these tools? Of course I would, I don't wish for anything that I don't need to live! But this is far from a perfect world, so I will continue to protect myself until the day I die.

Even now, our leaders and "do-gooders" are working to ban our rights to self defense, "for our own good." Fight back against these Marxists, who wish us to live on "equal terms" while they get rich and fat off of our tax dollars, all the while being safe and secure behind their armed body guards "because they are more important that you," "the peasants". Call your congressmen and representatives today and demand your right to self defense!

If you don't protect yourself, who will? The Police? Nope, it typically takes Law Enforcement 20 minutes to respond to a call, after you or a loved one are dead and the criminal is long gone. Police cannot be everywhere at everytime. Criminals are usually smart enough to attack you when you are far enough away from any law enforcement.

If you deserve to live, you must have the ability to defend yourself. If your loved one deserves to live and cannot protect themselves(for example, children) you MUST have the ability to defend them.

It's time to take a stand. Live life the way you wish to live, and let no one decide for you how to do so.

Cartridges or Works of Art? [Jun. 21st, 2007|10:42 pm]
Well, I loaded those bullets today, and they came out quite nice! I had to seat them deeper in the case since they are only 200 grain(normal loads are 230-250gr) and crimped them slightly over the bullets edge.

While I was waiting for the cases to be cleaned in the tumbler, I reloaded the rest of my .30 '06 cartridges. They are 150gr Soft Point(Lead) Boat Tail(SPBT) with a 43 grain charge.

Behold the mountain of rounds!

And here is one up close:

I apologize for the lighting, my apartment sucks in the light department(which is good, I personally hate bright light, but professionally I need it) and the flash on the camera flooded out the picture.
